Lenin's speech:What Is Soviet Power? / Ленин:Что такое Советская власть?

Opis filmu:
☭ Ленин: Что такое Советская власть? Lenin's speech:What Is Soviet Power? Lenin hitzaldia: Zer da sobietar boterea? ******************************************** http://www.spartacist.org/ ******************************************** Darkmatter1985-ri kopiatua *********
********************************** "What is Soviet power? What is the essence of this new power, which people in most countries still will not, or cannot, understand? The nature of this power, which is attracting larger and larger numbers of workers in every country, is the following: in the past th
e country was, in one way or another, governed by the rich, or by the capitalists, but now, for the first time, the country is being governed by the classes, and moreover, by the masses of those classes, which capitalism formerly oppressed. Even in the most democratic and freest republics, as long a
s capital rules and the land remains private property, the government will always be in the hands of a small minority, nine-tenths of which consist of capitalists, or rich men. In this country, in Russia, for the first time in the world history, the government of the country is so organised that on
ly the workers and the working peasants, to the exclusion of the exploiters, constitute those mass organisations known as Soviets, and these Soviets wield all state power. That is why, in spite of the slander that the representatives of the bourgeoisie in all countries spread about Russia, the word
"Soviet" has now become not only intelligible but popular all over the world, has become the favourite word of the workers, and of all working people. And that is why, notwithstanding all the persecution to which the adherents of communism in the different countries are subjected, Soviet power must
necessarily, inevitably, and in the not distant future, triumph all over the world. We know very well that there are still many defects in the organisation of Soviet power in this country. Soviet power is not a miracle-working talisman. It does not, overnight, heal all the evils of the past- illite
racy, lack of culture, the consequences of a barbarous war, the aftermath of predatory capitalism. But it does pave the way to socialism. It gives those who were formerly oppressed the chance to straighten their backs and to an ever-increasing degree to take the whole government of the country, the
whole administration of the economy, the whole management of production, into their own hands. Soviet power is the road to socialism that was discovered by the masses of the working people, and that is why it is the true road, that is why it is invincible." V.I. LENIN

I firmly belive that Lenin was not so much a communist as he was a true nationalist with deep socialist leanings..... The only real flaw in the Soviet notion is that
first you can't remove Christianity and faith from the hearts of the poeple, and secondly multiculturalism does not work, there cant be many different cultures and races under one banner, it must be one people, one language, one culture one nation with a single drive to maintain and build not fo

To me, the ... ( 1 month ago by GenerallySammyBoy)
To me, the fundamental flaw of communism is lack of incentive. When a farmer is producing for his own profit, he is bound to strive as hard as he can to create as big a surplus as possible for the rewards. When the same farmer is working for a surplus only to have it removed for the rest of the nation, he'll see it as pointless to be working extra for a surplus that will only be taken away. So why try harder?
In a small community this may work, but not on a national scale. Such is human nature.

Well OK, in that case I'll use another example.
Say we have a student entering the communist society for the first time. Imagine on one hand, we have a medical occupation that requires ten years of training, hard work, before you can take the job. On the other hand, there's the job of being a simple farmer, who earns the same income as a doctor
without the study effort necessary. Why work as a doctor if you'll make the same amount as a farmer, minus the time effort for extended schooling?

The same flaw can ... ( 1 month ago by tigerspirit1917)
The same flaw can be said of Capitalism. Say there are two men and ne works like a dog, and the other drinks and screws around. The worker gets rich by his own initiative, and the lazy one ends up a pauper. The son of the lazy
man wants to work, unfortunatly he must compete with the son of the rich man who never worked a day in his life but had all the advantages money can buy. The rich lazy son WILL use his money to keep the worker son down. Also human nature. There s no perfect system. Sad.

Would you like to have a debate about this? I've got some stuff to say but I don't want this to turn into a shitfling :D Let's keep this argument going in perspective, because this is an important topic, and it's also a fascinating one to dissect. It may also be beneficial for those who are generally limited in their
scope of political perspective, either entirely (and in some cases, blindly) completely obedient to either Capitalism or Communism. No fascism ;). You up for one?

I am always up for a good debate with someone of intelligence and imagination! Believe me, I have no desire to
get into a derrogatory swear fest... But I would love to see what you have to say on this matter and maybe we can actually have an intelligent exchange of ideas on YouTube for once!

Sorry to take so ... ( 1 month ago by GenerallySammyBoy)
Sorry to take so long with the response, but I guess we should get right
into it :D With regards to your previous comment, I felt that you could also relate that example to Communism as well, as the lazy worker is rewarded for lazy behaviour, whilst the hard worker would feel no need to strive harder because he's only getting paid as much as the person who barely wo
rks. To that extent, any concessions or benefits bestowed on the hard-working farmer would be a break from the ideal Marxist model.
An example of this ... ( 1 month ago by GenerallySammyBoy)
An example of this would
be Lenin's NEP, or "New Economic Policy" in 1921 in response to the complete failure of "War Communism", which (certainly to me) appeared to be the most close knit example of pure Marxist Communism ever to implemented on a society. Really, any break from this model is in any variation a break
from the fundamental theory of Communism, so at a base level the bedrock of the idealogy, political and social structure of the Communist system is flawed from this.

are inevitably going to become corrupt and want to keep that power. power will corrupt nearly any human being and make them crave more.

Yeah that is true... that is why if Communism ever does get put in place
there have to be some serious checks and balances or I guess you can get the government to fear the people.
Well, Communism ... ( 2 weeks ago by BobyChanMan)
Well, Communism isn't really about shared wealth, although that's a big part of it. Communism
in modern society is meant to give rights to the common working man, where fascism and capitalism brutally strip these rights away. That's why it was so appealing back then and not now, because now most societies have a mixture of socialist and capitalist thinking.
